Rocketed up to 7.8 today. several times. But did not stagger any higher. Bright sunshine alternating with hail all day. Nice and snug indoors though, so after attending to the chores I spent the day with a good book. I did manage to get the bacon processed, so that is in the fridge waiting to be cut up and frozen for future use.
