It was a lovely sunny but fairly 'fresh' day today - ideal gardening weather. So since our volunteer had arranged to come two days this week, and today was the designated day, I headed into the community garden with the whipper snipper and set to work clearing weeds - it is astounding how much more efficient it is. I know I keep on banging on about it, but it really does a fantastic job - even the weeds growing between the paving stones were whipped out and destroyed without any worries (apart from having to replace the cord fairly frequently). We also pulled the tomato plants and hung them in the shed - we have now had three frosts so they are clearly not long for this world.

We cleaned up the shed and all the spare corrugated iron and alsinite was loaded into the ute for delivery to a friend who makes dog kennels. He also makes some lovely blanket boxes and has offered one as a donation for our next raffle in exchange for the iron. Such a lovely man.

And i am now planning to spend the rest of the evening in front of the fire as it is cooling down once more.
