I bought a lovely pair of Italian leather shoes some years ago on a holiday to Norfolk Island (duty free you see!) which I have never worn. I found them again this morning while rummaging through the suitcase in which I have hidden my shoes from Seb. Got them out, tried them on again and yes, they still hurt like hell, so put them aside intending to take them into the Bargain Centre to sell them. Unfortunately I forgot them in the mad scramble out the door and when I got home I discovered a nice Italian leather shoe. Singular.

I picked a large eggplant at the polytunnel which has come home with some tomatoes and will be added to some onion slices and basil, be drenched in olive oil and topped with grated cheese for one of my favourite throw-together meals called The Imam Swooned (apparently at the cost of the olive oil used in the recipe).
