Today's forecast is for clearing showers, though it's a bit difficult to see how they are going to achieve that, when they have yet to arrive. Some low cloud (mist) over some of the surrounding hills, but that is about the only evidence of moisture i have seen all day.
I did several hours of training and working up an advertisement which I am publishing in the Illawarra Mercury - yes, odd, I realise. But locally there is buckley's chance of recruiting any long-term clients so I thought I would aim at an area where there are a lot of people, where i know my way around (the family comes from there) and that is close enough to speak to folk without blowing the phone budget. And the ad was not expensive, which helped.
So if you happen to pick up tomorrow's edition, look for a weight loss ad in the health and wellbeing column, lol.
This means i have now finished the training and am ready to rock and roll, so it's a pity my mentors have set off for Bali just when I may need them to help with my early calls. But I think I can probably cope by myself for the first few at least. They have provided an excel spreadsheet for tracking work, but it does not link information between pages, which seems silly to me (too much duplication of effort) so I will have to hunt out my old excel training manual and see if it still applies to the current version I am using, as it will drive me silly otherwise.
That clever app that the Bank had for use on the smartphone? It only works on i-phones, I now discover - having invested in an android for compatibility with the laptop. Bother. So now i am stuck having to pay additional monthly fees to get the facility on the computer instead. Darn it!! Oh well, on the up side, I have access to a great phone-call making mechanism which allows me to pre-record all my 'missed number' messages for out-going calls and just hit a button and move onto the next call when doing multiple phone calls, leaving the first call to deal with itself! Amazing stuff, technology.
