Today was cleaning the bank day followed closely by cleaning the studio day but since the Studio was a carry over from Christmas Eve and no-one was in it I got it done and dusted by 10:30 and was home shortly thereafter. Puppy-proofing the house took much of the rest of my day - shoes all in a suitcase, electrical cords unplugged, tightly wrapped around appliances or raised to a suitable height, clothing off floor and pillows and cushions all tidied away also.

Then Shadow had to go back to the vet for his blood test so we drove down to Montrose and parted with more money and he came back with a clean bill of health. The bloods were those of a much younger dog (phew) and his aches and pains all come from his back (something I have been telling vets for the last 11 years only to be told it is his hips as he is a labrador crossed with a rottweiler and of course they have bad hips. Grrrrr.

So he is now tucking into his own dinner and Smidgen is letting me know that Shadow ate his dinner while i was out.

Why was I out? Because the guests in the Studio had forgotten to mention they needed single beds. So I had to go in, pull the king size in half, fit new sheets and give them directions to the nearest restaurant, explain you can't simply pop in to a farm and ask for a tour, and generally explain that country towns don't have nightclubs or other entertainment for ill-prepared tourists.
