Today has been a day of waiting in the hope that someone somewhere might actually do the job they are paid to do. Apparently that is too much to ask. Makes you wonder why it is so hard to get a job when clearly most of the people presently in employment can't be bothered to do what they are paid to do. Employers must be so tied up in politically correct red tape that underperformance can be overlooked in favour of the horrors of sacking the lazy little ... people
Enough moaning - at least the chainsaw works again and I was able to cut some wood. It should not have been necessary today except that it was once again overcast, so despite temps in two figures it feels damp and cold and 'orrible.
Tomorrow, on a high note, is the Craft Fair, and annual event that we attend en masse and which should provide some visual treats and possibly some sewing cottons.
Oh, and my stick mixer seems to have gone to the same place as my slow cooker and is nowhere to be seen. Normally this would not be a problem as I have a spare one, with an English power plug. But the spare converter also seems to have gone walkabout ... makes you wonder which chinaman I killed at times like this.
Seems the money may come through tonight. All my fingers and toes crossed.
