Well I was right. I was fighting off a virus. Yesterday I decided to have a lazy day and so loafed around in front of the fire with a good book for most of the day as it was too rainy to be in the Garden. Was feeling quite good until I went in to clean the bank. As soon as I got out of the ute I knew I was in trouble as I was hit with a wall of lavender perfume - from the row of lavender bushes I walk past daily and rarely notice. By the time I was finished cleaning I was running a mild fever, so messaged the boss to get someone else to do the cleaning today.

Today I have been dosing up on lemsips and lying in front of the fire with a good book, but not much improvement so far - nose like a tap, sneezing, puffy eyes, and an occasional wave of fever to make life interesting. At least it is the right weather for it with grey skies and drizzle. Will need to cut some more wood tomorrow so hoping I am feeling a little better by then.
